Planning to copy my writing for a PYP Workshop Certificate?

Dear Mr F B Khan,

An online PYP workshop facilitator has alerted me that you’re copying my PYP blog posts including images with my name on it that I personally made, and handing them in as your own assignments.

Some of my blogposts are being used in online PYP workshops as reading material.  I help moderate the #PYPchat on Twitter.  It’s highly likely that anything of mine that is plagiarized will be recognized by online PYP educators and workshop facilitators.

Moreover, my writing style is so meticulous and dense that it’s highly unlikely any of the administration and colleagues at your school will believe that you’ve written it. If you had any slight abilities to even remotely write like me, you would also have the pride to write your own stuff.

So, my advice is to NOT copy my posts as your own, more so now that the online IB workshop leaders know it’s being done.  They’ll be on the look-out for more from you and from any others.

You obviously are hoping to add some credentials in order to secure a PYP teaching post. When your administration finds out that you’ve plagiarized your PYP assignments to get your online PYP learning certificates, you’ll discover that you’ve destroyed your chances, instead.

I shudder to think that you might one day actually become a teacher.  My vision of a teacher is someone with character and integrity well above most people in society. If not, I’m not too sure where our children’s futures are headed.

P.S. Like in all academic writing, you’re free to quote my work as long as you attribute it to me.

P.P.S. I believe there is a God that sees it all.  What is done in secret will one day be shouted from the roof tops.  Things turned upside down will be righted.

Note: This blogpost was written Feb 22, 2015.  I’m moving the publishing date back so it doesn’t appear on my homepage but is hidden back a bit. This is so that my regular readers won’t have this in their faces each time they come to my homepage for the next two weeks. They don’t deserve that. I’ll change it back to the Feb 22, 2015 date after I write a few more blogposts.
